Speaker Role Description

At Nepantlah, our speakers are essential in creating transformative learning experiences for our community. As a featured speaker, you will:

  • Share Expertise: Present on topics aligned with Nepantlah’s mission, such as decolonial praxis, linguistic justice, indigenous rights, social-emotional learning, and queering mental health.

  • Engage the Audience: Facilitate meaningful discussions and interactive activities, inspiring participants to reflect and grow in their practices.

  • Empower Professionals: Provide actionable insights and tools that participants can integrate into their work with bilingual and multicultural populations.

    • Prepare a presentation or session outline tailored to the topic and audience.

    • Participate in a pre-event call to discuss session goals and logistics.

    • Collaborate with our team to ensure a smooth session.

    • Duration: Typically 90 minutes

    • Format: Sessions are conducted virtually via Zoom

    • Audience: Bilingual and multicultural mental health practitioners, community health workers, and psychology students.

    • Recording: Sessions will be recorded and kept for the program year. They will be accessible to registered participants for on-demand viewing during that time.

    Language: Sessions will be conducted in Spanish, with simultaneous translation provided in English to ensure accessibility for all participants.

    5. Earn Compensation and CE Credits:

    • Honoraria: Speakers will receive $2,000 in recognition of their time and expertise.

    • CE Credits: Speakers will also receive a full subscription to the program, allowing them to earn up to 13.5 hours of Continuing Education (CE) credits as part of their professional development.
