what is nepantlah?

Nepantlah is a program designed for bilingual and multicultural mental health practitioners, community health workers, and caregivers committed to self-understanding, healing, and growth. We cultivate a vibrant virtual network where practitioners can exchange knowledge, enhance their skills, and foster connections with colleagues who share a passion for serving Latine populations and striving for decolonial practices.

FAQs

  • Each month, we will host a different bilingual/bicultural speaker. Our presenters will consist of mental health practitioners, curanderas/es/os, doulas, community and culture workers, etc.

  • Topics will include but are not limited to the intersection of linguistic justice and liberation, indigenous rights, decolonial praxis, Queering mental health, and more.

  • Nepantlah offers a transformative journey of self-discovery and professional growth through a series of 10 enriching virtual sessions, held on the last Wednesday of each month. Dive deeper into the nuances of Latine mental health and cultivate culturally responsive practices.

  • Each of Nepantlah’s sessions meet the qualifications for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
